A postgraduate student of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) allegedly committed suicide at his house in South Delhi.
Pankaj Aggarwal, 25, who was pursuing an MD in radiology, hung himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Gautam Nagar Sunday night, police said.
Police said no suicide note was found but Aggarwal had apparently been depressed for some time. This is not the first such incident in the AIIMS campus this year.
An AIIMS spokesman told IANS: "We cannot confirm whether it was a suicide as we have not received any reports in this regard. There was apparently no suicide note either. We are waiting for further reports."
Last month, a senior resident at AIIMS attempted suicide in his hostel room.
In another incident Jan 24, a doctor at the nearby Safdarjung Hospital took his life by injecting himself with poison.
