HEREDITARY ANGIONEUROTIC EDEMA
|
Inherited C1 inhibitor deficiency. An autosomal dominant disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of edema of the skin, upper respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract. Frequently mediated by minor trauma, sudden changes in environmental temperature, and sudden emotional stress. Usual course - acute; intermittent; relapsing.
