Yesh!
It\'s been almost a year since I last logged on! Amazing how the website has changed! To the administrators: the websites looking great! Keep up the good work; just don\'t make it so busy!
My husband and I are doing well. We settled in Iowa, as originally thought. I\'m in the first semester of the M.S. program in Public Health. My goals have changed. I\'m planning to pursue the MD/PhD program instead. Research has gotten into my head. LOL.
Medical school is going well. My husband is in his second year of classes -- with a combination of Microbiology, and other classes (he decided to pursue the joint MD/MPH program) from his M-1 years, he will be graduating in about 4 years. As a word of advice, after the first semester (your M1), things get better (at least it did for him). I know some people struggle with the second year and beyond, but for him, the hurdle was getting through the first semester. It takes that semester to humble you, and in a sense, help you learn how to study ALL over again.
You think pre medical classes/MCAt was bad? Learn how to study all over again your first year. You\'ll feel dumb for awhile, but trust me, its worth the ride.
I\'m taking my pre-medical classes now in conjunction with my public health classes. I have a second midterm in chemistry this Thursday (AHHH!!!), but I\'ll do my best to study hard.
I\'m involved with multiple activities as usual. Doing what I enjoy most as it helps me relax and get through the day.
Hope you are all doing well!

| Medical School update |
Wednesday, July 14, 2004 - 12:45 PM |
It\'s looking good so far. My husband (we married one week ago!!) has been accepted into a couple of medical schools. He is wait-listed at 5 schools. So far, it looks like we are going to Iowa for now! I\'m getting ready to apply for the MPH program. In the meantime, I will also be taking science courses and take the MCAT\'s soon!
Life has been going well. My husband and I are preparing for a new journey to medical school and beyond.
Wishing everyone well and how I hope each of you succeed in your endeavors. |

Hi fellow medical school and future medical-oriented students!
I have not been around for the longest time, and it\'s so sad. I have tons of webpages to add onto the webpage, and each time I come on, I promise to do something, but find myself running around doing other things instead.
I am glad things are going well on the webpage. Some wonderful news since the last time.
My boyfriend, who is a \"silent\" member is applying to medical school this year! He is finishing up the application process and is about to submit his AMCAS paperwork. If anyone has questions about applying, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Since I do not come online as often as I would like, please email me at future_doctor2001@yahoo.com and I will be sure to forward the information for him to respond.
Don\'t be shy. Ask away. And P.S. I will be taking the MCAT next August if things go right. If that is the case, feel free to ask me questions as well.
Just in case everyone forgot who I am...LOL, I am a post-bac. student at CSULA and a member of HCOP (Health Careers Occupation Program). If you have questions about CSULA, HCOP, applying to medical school, pre-requiste classes, etc. etc. email me asap! Be sure to put under subject line re: med school chat....
future_doctor2001@yahoo.com.
Best wishes everyone! |

| Hello |
Thursday, May 15, 2003 - 1:02 PM |
It's been over one month since I have last logged onto MSC.
I was very active in the webpage (mostly links) in the beginning when I started as a member. I wanted to say that the webpage is looking great, since the last time I have visited the page!
Some updates: I have moved! I moved out and am living on my own now! Yeah, independent woman! Working 35 hours and going part-time. I am about to finish my general chemistry series and hope that one year from now, I will be getting ready for the master's program Fall 2004. My goal is to graduate in 2006 and enter medical school 2006. USC all the way, if I can help it!
Just touching base with everyone. Hope everyone else is doing well. I hope to get active in MSC again. |

| One Day |
Saturday, March 01, 2003 - 5:31 PM |
I used to rush myself through every task and with every class. The results were somewhat up to par grades.
Now, as I prepare to enter the master's program, I take each step with confidence. I take each step with patience. And why? Because why should I rush into something and fail, when I know if I take my time and prepare, I will be successful. |

| Another day |
Tuesday, February 25, 2003 - 2:05 PM |
Sometimes I wonder if working this hard with school and at work is worth it.
Time and time again I have tested my strength and wondered whether I should enter medicine, or even if I cut out for the medical field.
And each and every time, my final answer is "YES." And why?
Because when I think about -- the one main thing I want to do out in the world is the make a difference. And the way I want to make a difference is to help others the best way I can and to give back to the community (and to those I love most) what the community has given me.
I am getting there....I have worked hard all my life....and I will one day, earn my M.D. and prove most of all, to myself, that I am destined to be a great doctor. |
