I'm a type A pre-med student. Daddy was a doctor, auntie is a pediatrition, several friends are in the medical profession. I can't think of any other career I would rather have or be a part of. Not great in chemistry, went to a crappy high school, and taught myself all my math. Ready to make all the sacrifices needed to be fully dedicated to becoming a doctor. What in the hell could be my problem? I just looked at the schools I'd like to attend and got so freaked out by the stats the schools have that I feel like I'm going to crack. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I the only one that felt on top of the world one second, but the next, looked at what your up against and felt like they were sucker punched in the stomach? I'm all for being competitive and striving to be the best, so this feeling is most unsettling to say the least.

u r not the only one, but if u continue in this way u will stop one day and say "oh god i cant go on im so exhausted". if you want to win do not try to be the best but try to do your best and u will achieve your goals without being tired. do not let your mood control your life, if u want to be a good doctor you must be more rational in your feeling, thinking and decisions, now decide what you want from this life and go on without hesitation. good luck.
