· I receive an error message when installing EXAM MASTER.
First, make sure that all other programs, especially Microsoft Office, are closed when you install. Also deactivate any Anti-Virus and Crash protection software. It may be necessary to reboot the computer. Make sure you have at least 30MB of disk space available on your C: drive for proper Windows operation. It is also important to ensure that you have at least 16MB of RAM installed on your computer. If all this looks OK, then check Known/Reported Problems for matching symptoms and a resolution. If you cannot resolve your problem, note the exact text of the message and send an E-mail to support@exammaster.com, fax, or call the EXAM MASTER® Technical Support line at (302) 378-1036. · All my distractors show up as wrong (red X) answers. Where is the correct answer?
This will happen when there are more than five choices, and the correct answer is not one of the first five. There will be a flashing red message in the upper part of the screen (indicating total number of answers) and a scroll bar will enable you to see the additional answers. Back to top

You can only pause one exam at a time. If you cannot pause your current exam, the most likely reason is that you have previously paused an exam that you have not yet completed. Back to top

· Do I have enough room on my hard drive for the modules I purchased?
Only the EXAM MASTER® engine itself is loaded on your hard drive using approximately 10 MB. EXAM MASTER® will use additional space to track your examinations. All the data resides on the CD, and the CD must be in place for EXAM MASTER® to work. The installation script will check for disk space. Back to top

· My unlock code does not work, why?
The following are the three most common problems that can occur with an unlock code:
1) The wrong product was selected.
2) A letter or number was incorrectly typed in the unlock code field, or there is an extra space somewhere.
3) The unlock code given was for a different version of EXAM MASTER® that is installed on your PC. Back to top

· What is the difference between purchasing your questions automatically via modem, or by calling the EXAM MASTER® sales line?
The two systems do basically the same thing. The automatic system has the following advantages: it is faster and it will automatically unlock the products after disconnecting from the automated order system. The manual system requires that the unlock codes be typed into the system and unlocked one by one if multiple products are purchased. Back to top

· What makes "Study" different from "Review"?
Study points out the correct answer, and you can study whatever you want. Study mode is not timed or recorded. Review Mode is accessed via a tab on the Main Menu, and it allows Review of previous exams taken. Review points out the correct answer and your chosen answer. You can only see what was in the exam that was taken. Review also has 2 additional features. One that will let you see only those questions that were previously answered incorrectly. The other feature will allow Review of only those questions that were Marked during the exam. Back to top

· Why is the selection process quicker for a subject or category examination than for a full examination?
Full examinations are defined by selecting a specified number of questions from different categories. Subject and Category examinations contain all the questions from that area and the program does not have as much work to do. Full examinations also search your previous 7 attempts for that examination in an effort to not duplicate a previous question. Full examinations also adjust the difficulty levels based on previous attempts. Having additional questions (more products) available on the system will speed up the full examination selection process. All examinations and study sessions have the questions presented in a random order. Back to top

· I selected a full examination that was supposed to contain 150 questions but it contains less. Why?
Some questions cover several categories of information and are included in pool of questions for all of those categories. If a question gets randomly selected from a category early on, it will not be available to the later selected category. So, Exam Master® may not be able to fill the later category. You will however, be receiving a question that covers both categories but is scored in only one. Back to top
